Blindly advocating light effects, ignoring the color rendering index

In the field of LED lighting, we talked about more hot spots. LEDs are more energy-efficient than traditional light sources, have more applications, and have higher luminous efficiency. When we look at the luminous efficacy of LED, we must pay attention to its color rendering index, only talking about light efficiency, and ignoring the color rendering index has no practical significance.

The color rendering index of a LED luminaire is a comparative value between the luminaire light source and the sun's light. The purpose is to reflect a value of the true color level of an item, which is reflected in the brightness of the LED luminaire. The level of the color rendering index is a key parameter that determines the quality and effectiveness of the product.

Due to the limitation of the number of lumens, the high color rendering of warm colors cannot achieve the best effect. The CRI of LED lamps reaches 75 or more, and the superiority of the products is relatively high, that is, the color rendering index is improved. However, the current problem is that the market's demand for color rendering index is not high. If the color rendering index is set, the method for improving the brightness may also be to modify the auxiliary phosphor, silver paste, and the like. Heat dissipation is difficult to ensure In recent years, some of the world's economically developed countries have launched a fierce technological competition around the development of LEDs. LED heat dissipation has always been an urgent issue to be solved. According to research data, if the LED chip has a 100% light emission at a junction temperature of 25 degrees, then the junction temperature will rise to 60 degrees and the light emission will be only 90%. When the junction temperature is 100 degrees, it will drop to 80%. The degree is only 70%. It can be seen that improving heat dissipation and controlling the junction temperature are very important. "LED heat dissipation is the most important issue in the design of LED lamps," said Xu Qingliu.

“The design of existing LED lamps is often difficult to meet the requirements of heat dissipation. In a field where heat dissipation requirements are very demanding, they use very poor passive cooling methods, and most of them are air-cooled or even closed-type air-cooled,” Xu Qing said. .
