In the production of LED high-power products, the common practice of enterprises is to increase the size of LED chips and increase the current when the voltage is constant. However, the higher the current is, the more heat generated by the LEDs is increased. The damage to the LED product itself is also great. This is the reason why the quality of domestic high-power LED products is unstable in the past few years and often causes problems.

In the past, the world's leading LED companies are trying to solve this situation. Now there is a big technological breakthrough. If the current is constant, the voltage of a single chip is increased, so that the heat is reduced and the light efficiency is improved. The cost is reduced, and this product is called HV-high voltage LED.

HV-LED is the trend

In the production of high-power products, the common practice is to combine the single 3V chips in a string and relationship to obtain the required voltage and current, and connect them in series on the LED bracket or substrate, such as: 3x4. LED series or 3x5 LEDs are connected in series, resulting in a large amount of current. With the advent of HV-high voltage LEDs, this phenomenon has been greatly improved. Therefore, the standard of US government subsidies is that the PF value of LED products must reach 0.9 to receive subsidies.

The PF value of traditional LED lamps in the world is about 0.55 on average, while the PF value of HV-LED can reach 0.98, which is more efficient and more energy efficient.

In order to achieve high PF values, traditional LEDs need to be matched with better components, such as PFC originals, so the cost of the products is very high. If the quality of the products is guaranteed, the existing LED products have difficulty in significantly reducing the price. HV-LED is a principle to change the product, remove a lot of accessories, under the premise of ensuring product quality, the price can be greatly reduced.

At present, the HV-LED single chip sold in retail stores in the US market is at 50V, while the domestic technology HV-LED technology level is between 20-50V. There are four methods for making voltage and current conversion in traditional 3W bulbs:

According to the traditional 3W bulb manufacturing method, the cost is high. The reason is that there are too many chips, and the cost of the power supply and the heat sink is 2-3 times that of the energy-saving lamps. If it is a method of making HV-LED bulbs, the cost will drop dramatically.

The advantage of HV-LED bulbs over conventional bulbs is that HVs only require chips and power supplies to form a bulb. With the technology of Xinchuang Technology, only one chip and power supply are needed to produce 4.5WHV-LED bulbs, which is extremely low cost.
