Product Name: HG-1000 Concrete Penetration Resistance Meter 1. Application of HG-1000 Concrete Penetration Resistance Meter The HG-1000 concrete penetration resistance meter uses the penetration resistance method to determine the setting time of concrete. This device is widely used in construction and quality control processes to measure the consistency and strength development of fresh concrete. 2. Operational Use of HG-1000 Concrete Penetration Resistance Meter Place the concrete penetration resistance gauge on a flat surface. Fill the sample container with the concrete mixture you want to test and place it on the instrument base. Loosen the adjustment screw and choose the appropriate penetration needle. Rotate the adjustment screw until the pointer aligns with the zero line on the scale. Set toggle switch 1 to the "adjust" position and toggle switch 2 to the "forward" position. Press the work button, and after 2 seconds, the sample container will start to rise. Adjust the needle by loosening the sleeve, ensuring the needle just touches the surface of the concrete. Tighten the sleeve to secure the needle in place. Press the work button again. The sample container continues to rise, and the pressure gauge begins to show increasing readings. After 10 seconds, the container will have risen 25 mm, indicating full penetration. At this point, record the pressure value. After 4 seconds, the container will descend and return to its original position after 7 seconds. The machine will automatically shut down, completing one test cycle. For the second test, rotate the handle to change the penetration point. When you hear a slight bounce from the steel ball, the position has been adjusted. Return the handle to its original position. If the previous penetration point was in the outer ring, you only need to push the handle once. For the inner ring, two pushes are required. Always ensure the pressure gauge starts at zero before each test. If not, adjust it accordingly. Toggle switch 2 can be set to "reverse" when you need to lift the needle away from the sample during testing or if the needle gets stuck. The penetration needle comes in three sizes: 20 mm², 50 mm², and 100 mm². The 100 mm² needle is used for initial setting tests, while the 20 mm² needle is used for final setting measurements. The pressure gauge has two scales: an inner scale (0–1.6 MPa) that measures oil pressure in the chamber, and an outer scale that shows the force applied to the needle. The outer scale has two marked lines: 350N corresponds to the initial penetration resistance (3.5 MPa), and 560N corresponds to the final resistance (28 MPa). If the zero adjustment becomes difficult due to oil leakage over time, refill the oil using standard hydraulic oil. In winter, use a thinner oil for better performance. To refuel, unscrew the plug, adjust the zero screw, add oil carefully without introducing air, then reseal the hole and remove any excess oil. Annual calibration must be done with the entire unit, and users can purchase calibration tools directly from our factory.
