Porsche's new cayenne, equipped with 4.0T-V8 engine, is expected to sell for 888,000 yuan
A few days ago, a foreign media outlet captured a set of spy photos showcasing the new Porsche Cayenne in testing. From the images, it's clear that several design details have been updated, signaling a fresh look for the next generation of this iconic SUV.
From the exterior, the rear lights appear to be redesigned with a more penetrating style, reminiscent of the Porsche 911’s signature lighting. This change could give the Cayenne a more modern and sporty appearance.
It has been reported that the new Cayenne will share the same MSB platform as the new Panamera. This advanced platform is expected to reduce the vehicle’s kerb weight by approximately 100 kg, improving both performance and efficiency.
The front grille has also undergone a redesign, becoming larger and more prominent. The horizontal lines along the front fascia are smoother, giving the car a more refined and cohesive look. Additionally, the camouflage suggests that the new model will feature a completely redesigned headlight system.
The rear of the vehicle shows even more significant changes. The use of horizontal lines enhances the visual width, while the trunk opening appears slightly smaller than the current model, possibly to improve aerodynamics or aesthetics.
Inside, the new Cayenne is expected to adopt many of the design elements from the new Panamera. The center console will likely feature a large touchscreen display, replacing traditional physical buttons. This shift toward digital interfaces makes the cabin feel more high-tech and user-friendly.
In terms of powertrain, the new Cayenne is anticipated to offer the same engine options as the Panamera. These include a 2.9L V6 twin-turbocharged engine and a 4.0L V8 twin-turbocharged engine, with maximum outputs of 434 hp (324 kW) and 542 hp (404 kW), respectively. This ensures strong performance across the range, from the base model to the high-performance variants.
