Porsche's new cayenne, equipped with 4.0T-V8 engine, is expected to sell for 888,000 yuan
A few days ago, a foreign media outlet captured a set of spy photos showcasing the new Porsche Cayenne in testing. From the images, it's clear that several design details have undergone significant changes. The most noticeable update is the rear lighting system, which appears to feature a sleek, penetrating taillight design inspired by the iconic Porsche 911.
The new Cayenne is expected to share the same MSB platform as the latest Panamera model. This advanced platform is anticipated to contribute to a weight reduction of approximately 100 kg, thanks to improved structural design and materials.
On the front end, the vehicle features a larger front grille with smoother horizontal lines, giving it a more refined and modern appearance. Additionally, the headlights are expected to adopt a completely new design, likely incorporating advanced LED technology for enhanced visibility and aesthetics.
The rear design has also seen major revisions. More horizontal lines have been integrated into the bodywork to create a wider, more dynamic visual effect. The trunk opening has been slightly reduced compared to the current model, possibly to enhance aerodynamics or improve the car’s overall silhouette.
Inside the cabin, the new Cayenne will embrace a more tech-forward interior, borrowing design cues from the new Panamera. The center console is expected to feature a large, high-resolution touch screen, replacing traditional physical buttons. This shift not only improves the aesthetic appeal but also enhances user experience through intuitive controls.
In terms of performance, the new Cayenne is likely to be equipped with the same powertrain options as the Panamera. This includes a 2.9L V6 twin-turbocharged engine and a powerful 4.0L V8 twin-turbo unit. These engines are expected to deliver impressive power outputs, with the V6 producing up to 434 hp (324 kW) and the V8 reaching as high as 542 hp (404 kW).
