4K TV sales in North America soared in China

Recently, WitsView, a market research organization, released a series of research reports, which pointed out that the popularity of 4K ultra-high-definition TVs in the world will rise to 24% in 2016, which is believed to be related to the current 4K content being gradually popularized. According to WitsView, in the past 2015, the penetration rate of 4K ultra-high definition television was 13.7% globally. It is estimated that by the end of 2016, the penetration rate of global 4K TV will reach 23.8%. In addition, it is expected that the total shipments of 4K TVs will reach 53 million during the whole year of 2016, which is also a considerable number. In the analysis of the market demand for 4K ultra high-definition television, WitsView pointed out that at present, the North American market will be the highlight of 4K ultra high-definition televisions, and the proportion of users who purchase 4K TVs will be the highest. This is followed by the emerging Chinese market, which also has great market development prospects.

In the research report, a survey on the size distribution of the TV market in 2016 showed that the 32-inch TV market share will reach 26%, which is a decrease of 4.7 percentage points from the same period in 2015. The 40-inch to 45-inch TV has a market share of about 30%, which is similar to the 32-inch TV market. In addition, 46 inches -50 inches, it is expected that prices will continue to fall in order to make way for 55 inches -65 inches large-screen televisions, large-screen televisions will be more favored by consumers.
