Lattice USB 3.0 Video Bridging Solution

The LatTIce USB 3.0 Video Bridge Development Kit, designed by Mikroprojekt and featuring the LatTIce ECP3TM FPGA family, is an HD video capture and conversion system that can be commissioned immediately. Combined with LatTIce's "Video-USB3" bridge reference design and Mikroprojekt's USB 3.0 UVC video-like firmware, the kit is ready to use out of the box for easy demonstration on Windows, MacOS or Linux operating systems with USB 3.0. The development board can be used as a standard video capture device with any commercial or open source software.

Based on LatTIce ECP3, the solution supports high-speed reception of video and audio data and is packaged into USB 3.0 UVC and UAC data frames without the need for an external memory cache. The Cypress EZ-USB FX3 USB 3.0 interface provides a 5GB video stream to the host USB port. The Analog Devices ADV7611 provides HDMI 1.4a capture (with optional HDCP decoding) and the Lattice three-speed SDI PHY receives professional audio and video signals over the LatticeECP3 SERDES interface. The expansion connector allows cameras or sensors to be interconnected via MIPI CSI-2 or SubLVDS differential lines to quickly convert the development board into a USB 3.0 HD camera for industrial vision applications.

The kit provides professional video equipment manufacturers with a ready-to-go USB 3.0 video capture and conversion system solution for rapid evaluation and prototyping. The kit contains schematics and layout files available to the user for simple customization.

Fiber Optic Distribution Box / Fiber Splitter Box is used as a termination point for the feeder cable to connect with drop cable. The fiber splicing, splitting, distribution can be done in this box, and meanwhile it provides solid protection and management for the FTTX network building.
