The report, authored by Daniel Culbertson, points out that employers are increasingly seeking AI talent, with roles such as data scientists and machine learning engineers becoming highly sought after. Culbertson emphasized that data scientists are currently the most in-demand AI professionals. This is because AI systems rely heavily on high-quality data to function effectively. Employers are actively seeking AI talent, and job seekers' interest in AI-related roles reached its peak in 2017, following two consecutive years of strong growth. While there was only a 1.4% annual increase in interest since January 2017, the overall trend shows a clear and sustained rise in both employer demand and candidate interest in AI careers.
