To help you better understand how to use it correctly and avoid common mistakes, we’ve put together a detailed guide based on our experience and customer feedback. Here are some key points to keep in mind:
1. Always take the ELISA kit out of the refrigerator and let it reach room temperature for 15–30 minutes before use. If the enzyme label is opened, store the remaining strips in a sealed bag to maintain their integrity.
2. The concentrated washing solution may crystallize when stored. When preparing the working solution, gently heat it in a water bath to dissolve the crystals. This won’t affect the final test results.
3. Use a dedicated pipette for each step and regularly check its accuracy to prevent errors. Try to complete the sample loading within 5 minutes. For large numbers of samples, using a multichannel pipette is highly recommended.
4. Always prepare a standard curve during each test, and it’s best to run duplicates. If the sample OD value exceeds that of the first standard well, dilute the sample first before testing. Remember to multiply the final result by the dilution factor (e.g., ×n×5).
5. The sealing film should be used only once to avoid cross-contamination between wells.
6. Keep the substrate away from direct light to preserve its activity.
7. Follow the manufacturer's instructions carefully. The final results should always be confirmed using a microplate reader.
8. Treat all samples, washes, and waste materials as biohazardous substances and dispose of them accordingly.
9. Do not mix reagents from different batches, as this can lead to inconsistent results.
10. In case of discrepancies between the English and other language manuals, the English version takes precedence.
