Jiangsu Launches Three Natural Gas Power Generation Projects

According to information released by the Development and Reform Commission of Jiangsu Province on February 3, the National Energy Administration issued a document a few days ago, agreeing that the province’s Huadian Yangzhou Gas Turbine Project (2×400,000 kilowatts) and the Huadian Qishuyan Gas Turbine Expansion Project (2×400,000 kilowatts), The three projects of the East Asia Power Wuxi Gas Turbine Project (2×400 kilowatts) carry out preparatory work. This batch of projects is the first phase of the “Twelfth Five-Year Plan” natural gas power generation peaking project initiated by the state, and is also an independent bidding project for heavy-duty gas turbines determined by the National Energy Administration.

The first batch of natural gas power generation peaking projects initiated by the National Energy Administration in the “Twelfth Five-Year Plan” period totaled 5, including 3 in Jiangsu. This batch of projects is of great significance for optimizing the adjustment of power supply structure, guaranteeing "12th Five-Year Plan" power supply, optimizing power operation modes, and promoting energy conservation and emission reduction in relevant regions.
