TriQuint Power Multiplier Delivers High Output Performance for Cable TV Infrastructure

TriQuint's new GaN monolithic microwave integrated circuit (MMIC) amplifiers offer high gain (24 dB) and excellent composite distortion performance (CTB/CSO), a performance critical in multi-carrier cable TV environments. TriQuint also announced a new gallium arsenide (GaAs) power multiplier that delivers the highest gain and output power among 'green' 12 V cable TV amplifiers. The new amplifier delivers +58 dBmV/ch of RF output while consuming less than 8 W. This output is the highest in the cable TV industry's 12 V GaAs solution. With its low power consumption and gain, the new GaAs power multiplier can replace two equivalent conventional devices.
