Paris designer invents lace lamps

Lace is a classic decoration of western women in ancient times. A pair of designer couple Linlin and Pierre-Yves Jacques in Paris applied this form to the lighting design.

By adopting 3D printing technology, designers embedded the plastic lace graphic structure on the metal shell of the lampshade, and when lighting the lamp, beautiful patterns will appear on the wall. They designed two lamps of different shapes and named them "Sky" and "Land".

Designers also stated that plastic laces in 3D printing are better heat resistant and can even withstand the temperature of incandescent lamps, but they recommend using LED lamps. When used, a more stunning effect may be achieved if a colored LED lamp is installed.

Linlin and Pierre-Yves Jacques have not yet brought this fixture to market, but they received good results and feedback in September at the Paris Design Week. They said that pushing the market is the next direction of development.
