China's searchlight export status analysis (Figure)

When talking about searchlights, everyone will not be unfamiliar. Many people will immediately think of a bunch of searchlights on the Japanese devil's guns in the anti-Japanese war movie. In fact, the use of searchlights is far more than just in the military field. In modern society, with the rapid development of modern cities, the construction of the city appearance is changing with each passing day. The urban lighting project has become a core content of urban construction. Urban lighting is an organic combination of humanity and natural landscape. At present, it is pursuing the “brightness” from the past, and constantly develops towards the pursuit of bright art and bright science, striving to make the whole city seamless, thus improving the overall image of the city. The searchlight is a tool for urban lighting, which can make the new building fresh and the old building fresh.

In addition, the searchlights can also meet the needs of nighttime construction lighting for railway, electric, public security, steel, petrochemical and other units, and also provide powerful and powerful beam effects for large outdoor performances.

China is also one of the major exporters of searchlights. In this issue, we will dissect the current export status of China's searchlights. Due to technical limitations, the 2005 customs data is used in this period. The Customs export tax number for searchlights is 94054010.

Small share of foreign companies

Due to the small scope of application of searchlights, the scale of exports is far less than other lighting products. In 2005, China exported 287,000 sets of lighting fixtures, with an export value of 1.39 million US dollars. There are 53 companies engaged in the search for searchlights, and the average export value of each company is 26,000 US dollars.

From the perspective of the nature of the enterprise, the searchlight export market has seen the three-pronged state of state-owned enterprises, collective enterprises and private enterprises. The export value of the three accounts for 35%, 27% and 22% of the total export value respectively. The export share of foreign-owned enterprises and Sino-foreign joint ventures in other categories is only 16%.

However, from the perspective of the competitiveness of individual companies, foreign-owned enterprises have a very obvious advantage. Although the wholly foreign-owned enterprises that produce export searchlights are only Jiashishi Electronics (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd. and Cooper Electric (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. However, their average export value reached $85,402, which is much higher than the industry average and is in a leading position.

The number of private companies involved in the searchlight export is the largest, with a total of 22, but the average level is very low, each company's export value is only $ 14,080, lower than other types of export companies.

The number of state-owned enterprises engaged in the export of searchlights is second only to that of private enterprises, with an average export volume of US$28,336, which is slightly higher than the industry-wide average.

The export profitability of collective enterprises is also relatively optimistic. In 2005, there were 8 collective enterprises with foreign trade in searchlights, with an average export value of 47,043 US dollars, which is higher than the average of 80%.
