Panasonic launches large-size LED display with brightness

On September 4, 2007, Matsushita Electric Industrial Co., Ltd. (Matsushita Electric Industrial) introduced the Astrovision/AZ-LE12F series of large-size LED displays with a brightness of 5000 cd/m2, which is 40% higher than the brightness of existing models. The first display was placed in the new “Qiball” government and civilian complex in Chiba City.

The display screen is 3m vertical and 4m horizontal (diagonal is 5m, roughly equivalent to 200 inches). The pixel pitch is 12.5mm. Each pixel is equipped with a SMD "three-in-one" LED. The RGB color mixing effect is very good.

The LED display also achieves colorless offset and achieves smooth image reproduction between vertical 140 degrees and vertical 60 degrees to 145 degrees and 80 degrees. The brightness is divided into 217 levels, and the effect caused by underexposure can be reduced by increasing the gray level of the dark area of the image by 128 times.
