New high-reflective powder coatings boost LED lighting efficiency by up to 30%

AkzoNobel recently released a new powder coating product, “Interpon ReFlex High Reflex Powder Coating”, which can improve lighting efficiency by up to 30% for all types of lamps.

Based on excellent reflective properties, this powder coating developed by the Powder Coatings Strategic Markets Group can further help customers reduce energy consumption. Like other powder products, it is a non-solvent coating and contains no volatile organic compounds (VOCs).

“Without LEDs, fluorescents, halogens or other light sources, Interpon ReFlex high-reflective powder coatings can help lamps reflect stronger and brighter light at rated power,” Mark Reekie, Marketing Manager, Western Europe, AkzoNobel Powder Coatings adds: “Compared to other non-coating solutions, in addition to excellent high reflectivity, Interpon ReFlex high-reflective powder coatings offer outstanding impact and flexibility, corrosion and UV resistance, and construction. Easy."

Interpon ReFlex high-reflective powder coatings are currently recognized by major North American lighting manufacturers. In 2015, this new powder coating will be launched globally.
