Recently, AnalogTek has introduced the PFM boost/buck LED driver chip AT310/300, which is a single or multiple LED driver for flashlight applications, solar applications or LCD backlight applications. The input voltage range is between 0.8V and 13V.
The AT310 has a standby (off) console and the AT300 does not have a control port enabled. The standby current of the AT310 is less than 1uA in standby mode. The driver circuit of the chip and the external switch transistor can generate continuous power output and can drive single or multiple LEDs in a large operating voltage range. The drive circuit starts up at full load and still works when the input voltage drops to 0.8V. The configuration of the circuit can be adjusted based on battery life and diode brightness.
