The MAX17085B provides an all-in-one power solution for notebooks with integrated multi-chemistry battery chargers, dual fixed-output QuICk-PWM? buck controllers, and dual uninterrupted linear regulators. This solution is capable of powering the system load while charging multiple chemical types of battery packs. During operation, the EV kit circuit automatically selects the ADAPTER input or battery as the main power source to power the system load and buck converter.

Program features:
Charger: High-frequency (approx. 1.4MHz), multi-chemical battery charger uses a constant current mode architecture with constant current ripple, which greatly reduces component size and cost. The low offset voltage sense amplifier allows the use of small value sense resistors to sense the charge current and input current limit.
